(IPB 480) Conflict Transformation

IPB capstone class. Students lead either a peacebuilding field project or a research project. Explores theories of sustainable project creation, advanced change theory, project leadership and facilitation and monitoring and evaluation models.

Course Outcomes

By the end of this course, students should have gained the following knowledge, skills, and attitudes:

  1. Learn advanced theories about cultural interaction, community building, cross-cultural leadership, and conflict resolution.
  2. Develop and demonstrate a practical skillset to effectively manage, resolve and transform intercultural interaction and conflict.
  3. Obtain a set of leadership theories and skills that can be employed in the international church as well as in areas like the family, community, country, and internationally. Become a self-directed learner who holds themselves accountable for their learning.
  4. Give meaningful, high-impact service back to the community with an eye toward creating and preserving intercultural understanding.
