A course preparing students to manage corporate wellness programs who are interested in applying health and fitness knowledge with business management principles. Future careers that can benefit from this course may include wellness managers, HR/benefits directors, agents, brokers and consultants, and insurance/healthcare industry professionals.

Course Outcomes

Upon completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Communicate effectively their knowledge of medical and wellness tourism to serve other people with professional-like work experiences.
  • Understand the industry of medical and wellness tourism and learn how to analyze, market, and brand medical and wellness tourism in different geographical areas.
  • Understand the importance of well-being and incorporate health promotion/disease prevention strategies for specific populations as they relate to administration and managerial skills in corporate wellness management.
