(ENTR 373) Creative Video Marketing

This course is an introduction to understanding how to emotionally connect with a targeted audience through powerful video storytelling. Students will learn theory and fundamentals of how to produce creative video content that will effectively market a product or service, and more importantly, tell a story.

Course Outcomes

1. Understand and apply principles of an effective video that emotionally connects an audience through storytelling not product-telling.
2. Student will learn how to use industry standard video editing software.
3. Student will learn how to properly use a camera and apply cinematography principles.
4. Student will gain experience working directly with a business as their client. Student will research business goals, brand image, and video marketing needs in order to create a concept and purpose for a promotional video. Student will direct all phases of production; pre-production, shooting, postproduction editing, and final deliverable.
