(FIN 432) International Finance

The goal of this course is to define the multinational concept and examine the factors encountered by finance managers of multinational corporations in making investment and or financing decisions based in a global perspective.

Course Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1.Appreciate the financial challenges and opportunities encountered by multinational corporations;
2.Analyze the financial and operational performance of multinational enterprises;
3.Propose solution for including (but not limited to) financing and capital budgeting decisions, corporate governance and its implications on valuation and control;
4.Be aware of recent developments in international capital markets;
5.Understand the economic determinants of foreign exchange rate and the role of the central bank in the foreign exchange (FX) and money markets;
6.Measure and manage accounting and economic foreign exchange exposures
