Course Learning Outcomes
Upon completing this course, students will be able to:
- Solve problems using available tools that the practicing accountant is expected to master.
- Demonstrate high-level spreadsheet skills using pivot tables, excel and various data sets.
- Demonstrate a basic level of proficiency in data visualization.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of how modern computers collect and process data.
- Work with a number of large data sets such as the SEC's EDGAR system and learn how financial reporting data is typically collected and utilized.
