The class takes a financial statement user perspective to teach accounting concepts and definitions, how businesses record and report financial information externally, and basic tools for financial analysis. Managerial accounting topics include cost behavior, budgeting, and decision-making, among others.
A second course covering principles of financial and managerial accounting. Provides deeper exposure to the accounting cycle and topics such as accounting for inventory, receivables, revenue, long-term assets, liabilities, intangibles and shareholder’s equity. Develop skills in time value of money and other accounting computations. Managerial accounting topics include job costing, activity-based costing, CVP analysis, among others.
