An exploration of the media and techniques of the visual arts, including introductory experiences in each of the major two and three-dimensional media. Not open to Art Majors except for those majoring in Art Education.

Course Outcomes

Students will be able to demonstrate methods of critical thinking through critique, analysis, and interpretation. The elements and principles of design will be learned, used, and applied. A portfolio of work will be accumulated demonstrating the understanding of elements and principles, art in history, and the discovery of the artistic disciplines.
