An advanced painting course that develops individual artistic vision and conceptual thinking. Students will improve the expressive quality of their work by relating technical approaches and procedures to their conceptual ideas. Fee required.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon completing this course, students will be able to:

  1. Gain increased exposure and understanding of the role of contemporary art in society.
  2. Explore and develop a connection between visual language and the expression of concepts and ideas.
  3. Become more articulate and concise in expressing ideas through written word (e.g. artist statement).
