(ART 368) Printmaking-Lithography

This course will introduce students to lithography, an essential part of printmaking history and commercial printing advancement. Students will learn a variety of experimental techniques and create and edition-quality lithographic prints. The skillset can enrich students’ art-making experience and help students be permeable across different media.

Course Learning Outcomes

Various stone lithography techniques will be introduced.

Students will:

  1. learn stone lithography and polyester plate and how to troubleshoot.
  2. enhance their knowledge of lithography printing and use as a creative expssion.
  3. learn to create consistent print editions.
  4. have the confidence to work independently on projects in and outside of the classroom setting.
