(BUSM 499) Strategic Management
This capstone course integrates functional business knowledge with strategic frameworks and data analytics. Students will analyze complex environments, formulate and evaluate strategies, and present actionable recommendations through simulations, consulting projects, and data-driven decision-making exercises.

Course Outcomes
Students will be able to:
- Strategic Integration - Integrate knowledge from finance, marketing, operations, accounting, HR, business analytics, and economics to develop holistic business strategies using both qualitative insights and quantitative data analysis.
- Environmental Analysis - Analyze internal and external environments using strategic frameworks (e.g., SWOT, PESTEL, Porter’s Five Forces) to identify opportunities, threats, and competitive advantages.
- Strategy Formulation & Implementation - Formulate and implement evidence-based strategies that balance growth, risk, ethics, and sustainability through data analytics and scenario planning.
- Global & Ethical Awareness - Evaluate the influence of global, cultural, technological, and ethical factors on strategic decision-making and apply ethical frameworks to guide responsible action.
- Communication & Collaboration - Communicate strategic insights effectively through reports and presentations, and collaborate in teams to develop and deliver persuasive, data-supported recommendations.
