Course Outcomes
- Self Awareness: Students will use inventories and discussions to describe their work values, interests, personality type and skillsets. They will learn about self concept as it relates to career planning.
- Career Exploration and Matching: Students will participate in guided research to learn more about careers that relate to their individuality outlined in part one. Students will choose 3 careers that they might find fulfilling to further explore. They will compare each and choose a professional to interview about their work.
- Preparation: Students will practice resume writing and job interviews. They will review decision making and goal setting techniques. Students will make informed choices based on their research and set future goals for further exploration, academic major commitment and career preparation they can complete while in college.
