Course Learning Outcomes
- Self Awareness: Students will use inventories and discussions to describe their work values, interests, personality type, and skillsets. They will learn about self-concept as it relates to career planning.
- Career Exploration and Matching: Students will participate in guided research to learn more about careers that relate to their individuality outlined in part one. Students will choose 3 careers that they might find fulfilling to further explore. They will compare each and choose a professional to interview about their work.
- Preparation: Students will practice resume writing and job interviews. They will review decision-making and goal-setting techniques. Students will make informed choices based on their research and set future goals for further exploration, academic major commitment, and career preparation they can complete while in college.
