Supervised individual research for students who have been granted a student research associateship, providing them with opportunities to engage in hands-on research within the field of computer science.

Course Learning Outcomes

  • Identify a research topic or problem in computer science under the guidance of a faculty member or research supervisor.
  • Develop a research plan, including objectives, methodology, and expected outcomes, in collaboration with the supervisor.
  • Apply critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical skills to conduct research and collect data.
  • Analyze research findings, draw conclusions, and make recommendations based on the results.
  • Communicate research findings effectively through written reports, preferably in a peer-reviewed venue.
  • Develop research ethics and professional conduct in the context of computer science research.
  • Collaborate effectively with research supervisors, peers, and other stakeholders involved in the research process.
