Course Outcomes
By the end of this course, students should have gained the following knowledge, skills, and attitudes:
- Understand the theory behind mediation practice
- Develop the ability to apply those theories to simulated conflicts in class
- Obtain a mediation skill set that allows students to do pre-mediation, conflict mapping, active listening, reframing, and collaborative problem solving
- Develop the confidence and ability to use those skills in real-world settings upon completion of the course.
