Course Learning Outcomes

1. Apply close reading strategy in selected film texts.
2. Identify themes and motifs within the cultural and sociopolitical context of the film texts.
3. Frame interpretive analysis with appropriate theory and methods studied in class.
4. Identify functions and purposes of cinema in society studied in class.
