Full life-span coverage of facts, principles, and concepts related to the sequential development of human learning; types and principles of learning; and instructional design.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Compare and contrast central theories of learning from cognitive development and educational psychology.
  2. Demonstrate key knowledge of human growth and development through papers and exams.
  3. Analyze, apply and report their own experiences as seen through the lens of educational theories.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues in discussing case studies individually, in small groups and as a class.
