Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Core accounting and general business knowledge is the context in which advance IFRS topics are studied.
  2. Students regularly discuss accounting principles in class. Students’ communication proficiency is assessed by a comprehensive research project including both written report and oral presentation.
  3. Professional ethics are emphasized via cases and research topics discussion.
  4. Students will demonstrate their achievement of this outcome via team assignments and projects.
  5. Students will be able to access FASB codification and IFRS database and cite regulation references correctly.
  6. Students will be able to complete an independent research project
