Course Learning Outcomes

The purpose of the Water front Life guarding course is to teach life guard participants the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies both in a pool and at a water front environment. The course content and activities prepare participants to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drowning and injures. Upon successful completion of all requirements students will receive the American Red Cross Waterfront Life-guarding, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Emergency Oxygen Certifications.
