Course Outcomes

  1. Become proficient in addressing and solving business problems utilizing the tools gained in the academic experience and through the individual creativity of the team members. We will accomplish this objective through the development of a work plan, the consultation with a faculty/business mentor, and the implementation of that work plan in reaching professional findings and recommendations. We will measure and assess progress through regular team updates with the company sponsor and faculty adviser/business mentor, in addition to surveys that will be completed regarding team members, the faculty adviser/business mentor, and company sponsors.
  2. Learn to work on an effective internship team. We will accomplish this objective by assigning students to five-member consulting teams, requiring coordinated interaction within the team and between the team and the assigned company. We will measure results by surveying the company executives regarding the effectiveness of the team and the value of the findings and recommendations submitted and through the assessment of student team members who will be asked to evaluate individual team members as part of the final grade.
