Topics will include the purchasing process, procurement cycle, purchasing research, relationships with suppliers, negotiation, information technology, and the concept of competitive advantages.

Course Outcomes
Upon the successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify the key element and some theories and practices of global supply chain management.
- Take a serious part in a very real project for a company/ organization that will go throughout the semester that if done correctly can be a serious line item on your resume
- Understand the strategic ramifications of the supply chain management decisions while being able to identify the key challenges in managing a supply chain
- Understand forecasting & inventory management, production planning, and purchasing & supply Management.
