(SSAC 150) Touch Rugby

A course designed to integrate the basic skills in regulation rugby and touch football in a non-contact fashion. The course will provide physical and intellectual challenges of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a multi-cultural context.

Course Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate proficiency of touch rugby skills in a game situation without physical contact.
  2. Demonstrate understanding of offensive and defensive strategy by correct field and ball movement in a game situation.
  3. Demonstrate understanding of the rules and knowledge of the game by passing written quizzes and exams.
  4. Demonstrate hand and eye coordination in a variety of passing drills.
