The course designed for those wanting experience in weight training. Topics vary and may include open classes, women-only classes, Olympic lifting classes, etc.

Course Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts and strategies associated with weight training by developing a personalized basic fitness program as a final creative project.
  2. Demonstrate a foundation of muscle strength by taking a muscle strength test. This test must be turned in to the instructor.
  3. Show participation and ability to follow a basic strength training program by submitting a completed exercise log.
  4. Demonstrate an understanding of why it is important for women to be physically active and participate in weight training.
