Course Learning Outcomes

Each student who passes this course will be able to do the following:

  1. Learn standard safety precautions and protocols for working in a chemistry lab.
  2. Gain foundational laboratory experience.
  3. Learn how to read and follow a protocol.
  4. Practice and demonstrate scientific principles learned during the lecture portion of this course.
  5. Make correct mass and volume measurements.
  6. Prepare solutions properly.
  7. Generate, collect, and analyze data.
  8. Present results orally and in writing.
