Course Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Develop the knowledge and skills needed to teach writing in the K-6 classroom.
- Reflect upon and deepen their philosophy of effective classroom writing instruction.
- Understand the writing process and demonstrate this knowledge through planning and conducting model mini-lessons.
- Actively participate in writing workshops and share personal writing with their classmates.
- Create and organize an annotated bibliography of mentor texts for their future classrooms.
- Demonstrate effective pedagogy in a classroom writing instruction paper.
