(ENTR 285) New Venture Growth Strategies

This course teaches students the key strategies and tactics successful entrepreneurs use to grow their businesses. Students will learn about topics in entrepreneurial marketing, sales, and growth – to implement effective growth strategies for their own ventures.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Identify opportunities and conduct market research to design and build a marketing and solution-centric sales strategy that will grow a start-up business or new product.
  • Determine the unique value proposition and leverage the customer feedback loop to evaluate and build an entrepreneurial marketing & sales strategy.
  • Utilize limited resources and a "bootstrapping mentality" to establish a viable market presence for a business.
  • Employ technology and digital tools to enhance marketing & sales efforts.
  • Apply ethical principles in sales to create honest and effective communication and persuasion techniques.
