(ENTR 285) New Venture Growth Strategies

This course teaches students the key strategies and tactics successful entrepreneurs use to grow their business. Students will learn about topics in entrepreneurial marketing, sales, and growth – to implement effective growth strategies for their own ventures.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Design and build a marketing & solution-centric sales strategy to grow a start-up business or new product.
  • Explain the critical role of a "bootstrapping mentality" and the Unique Value Proposition in entrepreneurial marketing & sales.
  • Utilize limited resources and leverage the customer feedback loop to establish a viable market presence for the business.
  • Employ technology and digital tools to enhance marketing and sales efforts.
  • Apply ethical principles in sales to create honest and effective communication and persuasion techniques.
