The purpose of this course is to help nonswimmers overcome fears they may have in the water and to help them to be safe and feel comfortable in and around water. True nonswimmers are those with no, or limited, swimming skills, who have difficulty putting their face in the water, have a fear of water, or who have had a near-drowning experience.
